Manaslu Trek

Manaslu (8156m) is the 8th  highest peak of the world and is located northwest of Kathmandu. Only in 1991 this area was opened for hiking. It is very close to the Tibetan border. The trek is challenging and offers you a variety of heritage culture, untouched nature, bio diversity and the view of the majestic Himalayan range.

We start our trek from Arughat Bazar after 6 hours drive from Kathmandu and ascend the impressive gorge of the Burhi Gandaki for seven days, passing through small villages. When we arrive in Ghap, the valley starts to open out, and there are remarkable panoramas of the peaks on the Nepal-Tibet border. In the past this mysterious valley had much more important trading links with Tibet than it does today. The scenery becomes even more impressive as we climb up into the alpine environment on the approach to Larkya La (5135m), with big peaks on all sides. The principal peaks that we will see on this first part of our trek are Himal Chuli, Manaslu, Cheo Himal and Himlung Himal. Beyond the pass of Larkya La, we drop down and we reach into the Annapurna range.

As lodges are available, we will not provide camp treks in this area and support the local people in this way.
